Airport Operations Supervisor
Job Purpose: Interacts with maintenance, security, fire fighting, administration, and
finance department supervisors, as well as airport tenants, service providers and the
Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), to monitor airport compliance with federal,
state, and municipal regulations. Maintains the Airport Certification Manual; conducts
airfield inspections; spearheads emergency response activities and plans; exercises snow
command control responsibility; directs the noise abatement program; coordinates
airshows; provides training; prepares reports, and performs other duties as assigned by
airport executives.
Minimum Qualifications: In-depth knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulation (FAR) Parts 91
and 139 are required. Airport snow removal methodology and condition reporting experience
is required. Excellent quantitative written and verbal communication skills, computer skills,
and classroom facilitation skills are essential. A college degree in Aviation Management,
Public Administration, Business Administration, or a closely related program is highly
preferred. Working knowledge of FAR Part 77 and Department of Homeland Security
passenger terminal procedures is preferred. Must have a valid driver's license, good driving
record, and the ability to pass the airport security background check. Salary range: $40,000 -
$50,000.
