REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) 2009 JANITORIAL SERVICE

The Gary/Chicago International Airport (GCIA) is seeking proposals from interested parties to provide janitorial services at the Gary/Chicago International Airport for the year 2009. The GCIA is a unit of government in the City of Gary that is managed and operated by the Gary/Chicago International Airport Authority (GCIAA). The airport operates as a non-hub commercial aviation service airport with airline, corporate, military, and general aviation activities. The airport is located in Northwest Indiana, approximately twenty-five (25) miles southeast of downtown Chicago and approximately five (5) miles northwest of downtown Gary.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Interested party must possess two (2) or more continuous years of janitorial service experience and have a minimum of three (3) references from current (preferably) or former customers indicating janitorial service experience. References must include company, contact person, address, and telephone number.

EVALUATION CRITERIA

All RFP's will be evaluated based on:

• Vendor's ability to conform to the schedules and specifications outlined in the RFP.
• Vendor's background and experience in providing janitorial services.
• Vendor's references.
• Vendor's ability to secure employees that will pass Airport's security background check.
• Vendor's price for services outlined in the RFP.
